Jordan Eccles goes AMCA

Jordan Eccles goes AMCA

Young British rider, Jordan Eccles has decided to change direction for the 2020 season as he will race the AMCA series.

Whilst Eccles has showed plenty of potential at British Championship level in the past, injuries haven’t been kind to him which is a shame.

The FUS Marsh MX Husqvarna team have agreed a deal with Eccles which will see him race the MX2 AMCA series for the fast approaching season.

“Firstly, I am very happy to have joined the FUS Marsh MX Husqvarna team for 2020, Michael has made me feel very welcome and already from the get go can tell it is a very organised well run team which is a big green light already. I had a nasty crash in May this year which I broke my back in 4 places damaged my shoulder and had to have my scalphoid in my wrist reconstructed so pretty much a year out. My body is all healed and excited to throw my leg back over”, Eccles told GateDrop.com.

“I decided to down the AMCA route as there doesn’t seem to be much help at all in the British at the moment. I now work full time so for me next year is about enjoying my riding again staying healthy and who knows what will happen, maybe it will become full time riding training again. As for other championships I’m not sure yet until I speak with the team but I will let everyone know if we do go to other races. I think if I can stay healthy I have a shot at the MX2 championship, I know there is some very fast riders heading to AMCA for next year Jamie won this year he’s a real good rider so it will be tough but for sure I’m looking to win”.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported me through 2019 starting with Lester Harding at Rip n Roll who actually supplied me with 2 bikes to ride for the year also going into our 6th year together wearing the r n r goggles, Rich Cannings at Dirtshifter for the cleaner and aftercare as and when I needed it. SAS carpet cleaners for the help financially if I needed it and anyone else I have missed thank you and see you in 2020”, added Eccles.
