Jett Lawrence wins the 85cc class at Redsand!

The 85cc class have already contested their races at the Redsand International. It was Jett Lawrence who took the win in the class winning all three moto’s – a brilliant way to win the overall and start his season.

Jett, who is Hunter’s brother is a huge talent and has bright future ahead of him. Last year it was Rene Hofer who dominated racing in the 85cc category. With Hofer racing a 125cc in 2017, it looks like Jett is going to be one of the favourites for success in the 85cc classes and could take some stopping.

We caught up with Jett back in September after he signed with Suzuki and he had the following to say about the approaching season, “The first goal is next year and I would be lying if I didn’t say I want a podium or wins at every event but I know there are a lot of fast guys here in Europe so will take it step by step”. So far, so good for the young Aussie as he dominated the Redsand event and will be hoping that this is a sign of things to come.

Young Brit, Eddie Jay Wade also deserves a mention as he took part and finished his moto’s in 5th, 4th and 2nd. He kept improving throughout the day so he will be one to look out for as the season progresses.
