James Harrison splits from Cab Screens Honda
James Harrison has unfortunately decided to step away from racing and will leave the Cab Screens Honda team with immediate effect. James is in his third year with the team and finished a fantastic 8th place in the British MX1 championship in 2017. The team will run with 2 riders for the rest of the year and are in a strong position, with Dan Thornhill lying 9th in the British MX1 series and Josh Peters lying 7th in British MXY2 and 3rd in Michelin Nationals MXY2.
Lee Webber, Team Manager – “It’s a real shame this has happened, but James needs to step away from sport, The MX1 class is as tough as it has been for a few years, you have to be on top of your game if you’re to get a result and sadly that hasn’t happened for James. The good thing is it’s an amicable split and I would personally like to wish James all the best for the future, he’s been great lad to work with”
James Harrison – “I would like to take the opportunity to say a massive thanks to Lee, Ian and the whole team for always helping me and believing in me. The decision to leave wasn’t easy but I feel like it’s best for everyone. I’ve always been great friends with the team and my team mates and that will stay the same! Good luck to the boys for the remainder of the year.”
