Jake Shipton makes KTM switch

Jake Shipton recently announced he’d parted company with the Crescent Yamaha team he’s spent many years with. It’s now been revealed that the Brit will be racing a KTM next year.

There’s still details to be finalised but one thing for sure is that Shipton will swap blue for orange in 2021.

Shipton hasn’t been at the races this year after picking up severe arm pump at the opening round of the MX National series. After also struggling with numbness in his hands since last year, the decision was made to sit the 2020 season out.

“At the moment I can only manage a few fast laps. Which is super frustrating as we haven’t had the chance to show everyone how hard my mechanic Ryan [Hawkridge] and I have been working and the progress as a result! But, everything happens for a reason and we will be more than ready to comeback fighting in 2021”, Shipton told Dirtbub.co.uk.
