Jake Sheridan to race Lommel triple header – MX2!

Jake Sheridan to race Lommel triple header – MX2!

At the end of last year Jake Sheridan had told us that he was preparing to race selected MX2 World Championship events. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and a lot of uncertainty in the world it’s scuppered his plans but he will head to Lommel to race the triple header at the gnarly deep sand track.

The first event is this Sunday then the World Championship action will continue on Wednesday and the following Sunday with European action on the previous days.

Sheridan has experience of riding at Lommel as he attempted to qualify for the EMX250 championship last year but failed to qualify by just 1.3 seconds – not bad!

The benefit of an MX2 World Championship entry means he won’t have to qualify so that takes the pressure off knowing he’ll have 6 races at the Belgian track in a week with the best MX2 riders in the world.

“I got the opportunity of a lifetime to race the triple header at Lommel GP this year and I can’t wait, I’m really excited! I’ve no expectations as I’ll be racing the fastest MX2 boys in the world at one of the toughest tracks in the world – I’ll give it my best shot”, Sheridan told GateDrop.com.

“I’d like to thank: RSR plant services KTM, Jim Jones Planet Hire, Mediterranean design centre, MCUI, FXR Moto, Spanner’s, Duignan Engineering, CCM Racing, Westpark Fitnesses, TMV, JVmotorsport, All Moto racing, Gaerne official and Podactive”.

We’d like to wish Sheridan good luck for the event!
