Jacobi working with Swanepoel for 2020

Jacobi working with Swanepoel for 2020

It’s an exciting time for Henry Jacobi as he heads into his rookie MXGP World Championship for the 2020 season and has secured a factory bike under the SM-Action Yamaha awning.

At the F&H Racing team, Jacobi worked with Marc de Reuver who over the past few years has been one of the best coaches in the paddock.

For 2020, not only will Jacobi have Christoph Selent in his corner who he clearly works very well with but he’s announced he’ll be working with ex GP rider, Gareth Swanepoel as well.

Even though Swanepoel is based in the AMA paddock, due to Justin Cooper and Dylan Walsh contesting the Motocross Des Nations at Assen earlier in the year, Swanepoel spent a few weeks in Europe to prepare his riders for the sand of Assen.

Dylan Walsh told us at the start of the year how Swanepoel helps him. “We talk every day but he schedules out my week for me and I just stick to it. He’s been in Europe so he knows exactly what it’s like. Now he’s in America working with the top boys there so he knows what I need to do”. Jacobi will most likely have the same sort of plan with Swanepoel but also has Selent who will focus on his full time.

“Finally I can reveal the secret which wasn’t a big secret anymore. I’m super happy to join the @yamaharacingcomofficial family with the @smaction_mcmigliori team for 2020. I’m working together with the best people to make a perfect transition into the MXGP class. @chrispo322 and @swanie387 will get me to the next level, physically and riding wise. I’m more than happy and more motivated than ever”, Jacobi stated on social media.
