Jacobi switches to Husqvarna – NOT Yamaha!

There has been a bit of uncertainty regarding Henry Jacobi’s future. The young German was with the JTech Honda squad last year but things didn’t go according to plan. Some media have been reporting that he will be riding a Yamaha for a new team in the paddock, STC Yamaha. After doing some digging it appears this isn’t the case.

Henry won’t be racing a Yamaha although he will be under the STC Yamaha awning for the 2017 season but on a Husqvarna! Bodo Schmidt isn’t running a team this year but he will help Jacobi which is good news for the German. Schmidt has worked and helped some top riders like Romain Febvre and Thomas Kjer Olsen to name a few.

Jacobi will race the European rounds of the MX2 World Championship, he is a rider with good potential and with good equipment could certainly surprise.

The new team in the GP paddock, STC Yamaha will race the MXGP World Championship with Jaap Corneth and the plan for him is to contest the full series on the 450 Yamaha.
