Italy announce MXDN team!
Italy are the latest team to announce their team for the MXDN later in the year.
The riders selected are:
Antonio Cairoli – MXGP
Alessandro Lupino – OPEN
Michele Cervellin – MX2
Cairoli: Matterley Basin, I have some good memories, especially in 2006 that was maybe my best Nations ever. Every year we try to be better and better – the team have much more experience now. The goal is for the team to be on the podium, I believe if Alessandro can get good starts he can get top tens in MXGP. I believe Cervellin is also much better than he’s showing, he just needs to believe in himself more. I will try to win my class.
Lupino: It’s a great feeling to be back on the team, I have missed this event a lot due to injuries. My last one was in 2013 when we got on the podium. This year is getting better, my speed the last few races has been much better. I think putting me in the Open will help. We hope to do the same as we did in 2013.
Cervellin: It’s the third year for me in the Nations, it’s always a special race. With Tony and Lupino it should be good. Last year I was in the open but this year I’m on the 250 which will be much better.
