Italian Championship RD3: Results!

Ivo Monticelli was in good form at the third round of the Italian Championship as he won both of the MX2 races. Monticelli and Cervellin both had good battles but the Marchetti KTM rider edged out the HRC Honda on both occasions.

Nicholas Lapucci had a great day finished third in both of the moto’s behind both of the full time MX2 GP riders. Lapucci will be hoping that can kick start his season and he will head to Germany this weekend to contest in the MX2 World Championship.

Alessandro Lupino dominated the MX1 class again as he won both the moto’s in convincing fashion. Matteo Bonini rode well to finish the moto’s in third and second. Surprise package of the weekend was forty-four year old, Alessio Chiodi as he made a guest appearance. He finished a remarkable fourth and fifth in the moto’s!

In the Super-final event, Lupino made it the perfect day by winning it. Cervellin got the upper hand on Monticelli as he was the first MX2 rider across the line in third.
