Ireland’s team manager talks Coupe de l’Avenir!

All Irish riders have arrived in Belgium to camp in Valenciennes  in the past few days with no injuries.

There is no doubt of the commitment and determination of all the Irish riders and they have taken the fighting spirt evident from last week’s MX  Des Nations to Basiiuex in anticipation of a serious result.

Jason Meara  the MX2 rider, is coming back home from Spain to compete in the Coupe, Jason is excited to ride for his country and has given up the last round of the Spanish MX Nationals even though he is currently lying 5th.

James Mackrel, the MX1 rider debuted on a Yamaha 450 last month in the Dublin City Supercross where he took away the MCI Supercross Trophy after being selected on the big bike for 2016.

Jordan Mc Caw, has been practicing flat out on a new 125 Husquvarna  two stroke  for the past month in preparation for this event.

Ireland are also fielding a team of top 85s and 65s who have proved themselves this year in the UK and in Ireland and all hold National/Centre championship titles.

Ireland’s Coupe de l’Avenir team for 2016 are:

U 21s- Jason Meara, James Mackrel, Jordan Mc Caw

85cc – Aaron Gray, Ben Hall, Ben Kennedy

65cc – Rossi Dobson, Rhys Hawthorne, Fin Wilson
