Injury update: Paturel OUT for the season
It’s been a tough few seasons for Benoit Paturel since moving up to the MXGP World Championships mostly due to injuries and it’s now been confirmed he’s out for the rest of the season.
The French rider has been battling with Epstein Barr virus and it’s now been found in his blood.
Paturel has started treatment in order to get healthy as soon as possible but we won’t see him race again this season.
“The Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki rider Benoit Paturel has been forced to end his season immediately. During a check-up is established that the French Kawasaki rider remains of the Epstein Barr virus have been found in his blood. Benoit has already started with the treatment to get back healthy and competitive,” the team stated.
