Injury update: Freek van der Vlist!

Young Dutch rider, Freek van der Vlist had the opportunity of filling in at the 114 Honda Motorsports team at the last round of the MX2 World Championship in Germany but things didn’t go to plan for him.

During the qualifying race, van der Vlist was victim of a crash just after the start and got hit by another rider. It meant he couldn’t line up for the main races on Sunday.

The latest on van der Vlist is that he has a compression fracture in his T4 in his back.

Next week the Dutch rider will have another scan to see exactly how long he will be out of action for.

Van der Vlist posted the following update on social media:

A little update about my injury from Teutschenthal. After my first lap crash in qualifying race i have a compression fracture in T4 in my back. I went to visit the dokter this week and i will have another scan next week to see how it heals and how long it will take to get back on the bike. #injury #honda #mxgp #mx
