Injury for Stephen Rubini!
Only nine points separate Stephen Rubini and Jago Geerts heading into the final two rounds of the EMX125 series. However, disaster has struck for French rider, Stephen Rubini who has suffered from a crash whilst getting ready for the penultimate round at Lommel.
The resulting injury isn’t good and it rules him out for the last two rounds as well as the Junior World Championship in Russia, his season is over!
Unfortunately for Rubini he has broke his wrist and has already had a successful operation to insert pins in his wrist. Jago Geerts now has one hand on the title as he has a massive sixty-three points gap over Pierre Goupillon, Jago has a great chance of winning the title in front of his home crowd in Belgium at the next round.
Even though the season is over for Rubini some good news is that he has rumoured to have signed a contract with a MX2 team for the 2017 season – keep your eyes out on that becoming official over the next few weeks.
