Injured Petar Petrov withdrew from Qatar!

Petar Petrov only contested one pre-season before heading into Qatar which was the Lacapelle International event. Unfortunately it didn’t go well for the Bulgarian as he picked up an ankle injury.
He was hoping to ride at the first round of the MX2 World Championship at Qatar but after trying to ride on Friday he was in too much pain and it was decided that it wasn’t worth it. He could only do enough to end up in twenty-fourth in timed practice.
The Factory Kawasaki rider has travelled back home and won’t return to the GP’s until he fully recovers from his injury. This means that Adam Sterry and Stephen Rubini will be the factory Kawasaki riders next weekend for the second round of the series in Indonesia.
