Hughes considering working with Coldenhoff full time in 2020

Ryan Hughes is currently in Spain working with Glenn Coldenhoff as a trainer/coach to help the Dutch talent get ready for the 2020 MXGP World Championship.

The pair have been working well together and Hughes is considering staying in Europe to help Coldenhoff throughout the entire season.

“Good day with @hoff259 and the rain – how many of you guys think myself and Glenn should work together for the full @mxgp series in 2020”, Hughes stated on social media.

It would be a big move for Hughes to leave America and base himself in Europe for the season but it would be nice to see him in the MXGP paddock on a regular basis and he’s seems to be considering the move.

“It’s a big move and have to put a lot of my schools on hold around the world, so I’m going back and forth.  I like the Europe rider and the MX scene over here – it’s cool how many different countries the series goes to and be fun to coach on the competitive side again”, added Hughes.

Coldenhoff was the man in form at the end of the MXGP season this year and also went 1-1 at the Motocross Des Nations. Could working with someone like Hughes give him the confidence to battle for the World Championship? Time will tell.

It will be cool to see a Factory GasGas at the front of the pack in 2020 and Coldenhoff will be hoping for plenty of podiums and even race wins.
