Shane McElrath and Justin Cooper won the 250SX heat races at SLC7 but the big talking point was Dylan Ferrandis going down on the first corner and losing a lot of ground meaning he could only get back up to tenth and therefore had to go to the LCQ.

The French rider did win the LCQ but has a bad gate pick for the main event. The 250SX LCQ race was stacked and saw the likes of Hunter Lawrence and Pierce Brown not even qualify for the main event.

The 450SX races weren’t quite as eventful as the 250 classes but it was Jason Anderson and Ken Roczen who took the heat wins.
