Guillod to sit out next MXGP races
Valentin Guillod landed an MXGP World Championship ride this year after a couple of years outside the paddock but things haven’t gone according to plan for the Swiss talent. Guillod despite a tough couple of years is blessed with a lot of talent and has won MX2 Grand Prix’s in the past.
However, after the first of three GP’s at Faenza, the SR Honda team have revealed that Guillod will sit out the next MXGP races due to medical reasons.
“A difficult day in Faenza for Jeremy Van Horebeek who had a small technical problem while he was behind the starting grid, and who was unable to compete in the first race. The second race went better, he was fighting the whole round at the door of the top ten to finally finish twelfth. We are not far from the team’s objectives, namely the top ten, see you on Wednesday Jeremy!
Valentin Guillod finished twenty second in the first race and will take a break in his season, for medical reasons, pending a good recovery”, the SR Honda team stated on social media.
