Valentin Guillod has released a statement on his website regarding the split with Standing Construct Yamaha and admits he is confident of staying with Yamaha but under a different team awning.
Guillod said: “We reached this summer an agreement for next season, but recently the team informed me that they will change our organisation, my winter training program and also asked me to change other things. We never talked about this before, and as I didn’t agree with their new options we decided to part away.
“We’re currently working with Yamaha to find a solution for next season, and I’m confident; I’m still training at the moment for the Supercross of Genoa, Lille and Geneva, and I will race these events on a very good 450 Yamaha. In my opinion racing Supercross is also a good training for a Motocross rider, and I’ve a lot of fun training on SX tracks.
“I want to thanks team Standing Construct, we reached some good results during two seasons and I wish them good luck for the futuree, even if I’m disappointed buy the way our relationship ends.”
