Geico to pull out of Honda support
Geico have backed and supported the Honda 250cc setup in the American paddock for over 10 years.
It’s believed that the insurance company have recently informed Honda that they won’t be renewing the contract for the 2021 season and beyond.
It would be as a big blow to the Honda team in America as they’ve a number of riders including the Lawrence brothers, Jeremy Martin, Carson Mumford and Jo Shimoda.
In order to keep all the riders for the 2021 season it’s likely they’ll need another big sponsor to step up but the future of the factory Honda 250cc in America remains to be seen.
Steve Matthes, the man in the know when it comes to the AMA scene has reported the news on social media.
