Geerts content with fifth at Loket

Geerts content with fifth at Loket

Jago Geerts didn’t have his best day at Loket and never looked fully comfortable on the off-camber old-school circuit, but he didn’t have a bad day either, riding smart to come away fifth overall and move up to third in the championship.

#193 Jago Geerts
5th overall

“Fifth place, not bad at all. Loket is not one of my favourite tracks and starting from 14th position is very difficult here. I rode two solid motos and could pass some guys in the beginning of the race. I also reclaimed the third position in the world championships. I’m really happy with that. But it’s still a long road. Next up is Lommel, one of my favourite tracks. I’m really looking forward to my home race.”

Marnicq Bervoets
Team manager

“Geerts rode two very mature motos. Maybe, he could have gone a bit faster, but then he needed to take more risks. It was really smart of him not to do that. It’s easy to make mistakes on this slick track. Two solid races, very regular. That’s something he really needed after a couple of difficult races. Of course we are looking forward to Lommel now. Our home GP. It would be nice if Jago could get on the podium there.”
