Forato to race the MX1 International Italian series

Alberto Forato will finally make the move up from the EMX250 series to the MX2 World Championship this year with the Maddii Husqvarna team. The Italian has spent a number of years in the EMX250 class and last year had his best season yet battling for the title before ending up third in what was a competitive series with Rubini and Van de Moosdijk.

Before the MX2 World Championship gets underway at Matterley Basin, Forato will race the International Italian Championship but he’ll race a 450cc in the MX1 class. With Forato’s size and statue many tip him to go on to have a good career in MXGP and these three rounds on the 450cc will help him with the future.

With many top riders such as Febvre, Desalle, Gajser, Evans, Jasikonis, Jonass, Seewer, Paulin and Tonus racing the MX1 class it’ll be a good learning experience for Forato to ride with those factory riders and learn from them for the future.
