Ferrandis on being booed at A2 – disappointing
After his move on Christian Craig that left both riders on the deck and Craig out of the race, Dylan Ferrandis got booed on the podium after he picked himself up and passed Jett Lawrence on a sensational last lap to take the win.
Ferrandis got a 12 month probation for the move and admitted the booing left him feeling uncomfortable.
“I was a little bit surprised,” he stated. “In supercross this happens all the time (riders colliding), I crashed too. When you try to pass somebody you try not to crash too, there is no point (for me) to crash. I was a little bit surprised they act like this. Maybe they saw a different angle on the TV than I did under the goggles. For me it’s a little bit disappointing.
“I know I’m foreign. I’m from Europe, to be here against the American riders and have the people do that, it’s affecting me a little bit. It’s not scary but it’s a weird feeling. I don’t ride to get fans but I don’t ride to be the guy that nobody likes. I don’t know what to say, I hope for the next couple of rounds to ride cleaner and not many any action like this.”
