Ekerold signs with Castrol Suzuki!

Stefan Ekerold initially signed with the new Carglass Honda team to contest the 2017 season in the EMX250 series. However, they recently parted company leaving the German without a ride with the start of the season fast approaching.

However, Ekerold has inked a deal with the Castrol Suzuki outfit. This means that Stefan will be racing a 450 this year and moving up from the 250 machine.

He has big foots to fill as the Castrol Suzuki outfit have had Dennis Ullrich and more recently, Filip Bengtsson on the team. They have now turned their attentions to a more youthful rider in Ekerold.

The German will compete in the ADAC MX Masters Championship and the German open series. They will also take part in selected MXGP races which are yet to be decided.
