Eddie Jay Wade makes full time switch to the 250cc

The plan for young British talent, Eddie Jay Wade this year was to contest the EMX125 championship and the British Championship in the MX2 class as well as selected Spanish Championship races. However, Wade during his first two races on the 250cc at the Spanish Championships has been so impressive that he’s now made the decision to stay on the 250cc for the rest of the season.

It means we will see Wade race the rest of the EMX250 championship and his days racing the 125cc are now over. The Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee rider beat the likes of Ruben Fernandez, Tom Guyon and Pierre Goupillon on his first race on the 250cc and should only continue to improve as he adjusts to the bike.

“Before the races the plan was to stay on the 125cc still. After I did so well and impressed the team manager, KTM allowed me to move up to the 250cc for the rest of the season, now I will be doing the EMX250 rounds and some MX2 rounds at the end of the season. This is great news, now I don’t have to go on the 125cc and can dedicate all my training and plans to the 250”, Jay Wade told GateDrop.com.
