Edberg: Didn’t expect everyone to be that crazy fast!

One of the rookies in the EMX250 Championship is young Swede, Tim Edberg as he moves up from the EMX125 series where he finished eighth in the championship last year.

The Swede has signed with the I-Fly JK Yamaha team for the 2018 season and made his EMX250 debut at the weekend but admits he didn’t expect everyone in the EMX250 to be so fast!

Edberg is certainly no slouch himself and could only finish sixth in the LCQ which means he didn’t qualify. However, after a few injuries during the first moto, Edberg was able to take part in race two where he finished twenty-sixth.

The Swede will hope to improve for round two and make it straight into the races without having to go to the LCQ.

Edberg posted the following message on social media:

The Emx 250 class this year is tough! I didn’t expect everyone to be that crazy fast! But hey this is a learning year for me and I’ll take it step by step and achieve as much experience as I can on the way. I know what I need to work on and I’ll try the best I can to make it work. Next one for me coming up is in Portugal Qualification: p29, hade some bike problems but it’s no blame. LCQ(last chance qualifier): p6 Race one: DNS(did not start) because of me being second reserve. Race two: p26
