Chatfield leaves Fro Systems Arenacross team & the team manager isn’t happy!

Mark McCann, manager of Fro systems PAR elite arenacross team, has a announced that Adam Chatfield has left the team at the last minute to ride for a rival team in the upcoming UK Arenacross series.
McCann is not a happy bunny and released the following statement on his Facebook page:
This is a very uncomfortable press release to write. Everyone around me knows my love for Motocross and the Arenacross series. Throughout its running I am proud to say I have only ever missed one nights racing when I was committed to racing myself.
In the spring I spoke with promoter and friend Matt Bates about the possibilities of bringing FRO systems as a serious title contender for the 2017 AX Series.
I set out to get the strongest team possible, we agreed terms with a 5 strong English athlete team with Adam Chatfield being our primary rider. I was very proud to have a rider like Adam with our team considering this is our first project of this scale. I’ve known Adam for many years and have followed his career globally. As a country we only get to see Adam at the Arenacross as he has been based in the USA and then Brazil for most of his career.
From the very beginning I agreed to give Adam everything he needed to win races. Unfortunately only a week ago after huge financial expense and less than a month to kick off I had some bad news. Unfortunately Adam gave me some false excuses to why he would no longer be riding for me, but I still have tried very hard to keep Adam.
As the saying goes ”you can’t kid a kidder”. I knew what was happening and I feel extremely let down watching it all unfold. I already knew the real reasons.
Despite my biggest efforts Adam will be riding for another team, he did eventually tell me this by text a couple of days ago.
I am not an experienced team manager, but I have run a successful business since I was 16 years old.
Getting this team together for myself and my work colleagues has been a real fun time and we have been wishing the weeks away to get to January 7th.
Of course this has put the whole team in jeopardy, however, for sure it will be 100% sorted one way or another by the new year.
In short I am gutted Adam will not be on our team, but this was not my doing. For Adam Chatfield fans, you will still see Adam racing in the AX series, but unfortunately not with FRO systems.
Remember Desire Fuels Success.
Keep smiling
Mark McCann
