Chad Reed confounded the skeptics yet again at Anaheim.
Reed battled to fifteenth place at A1 despite have only four days on the bike, no proper training since May after his summer off and ensuing foot injury sustained at the Red Bull straight rhythm.
Reed wasn’t even supposed to be weight-bearing on his ankle for another two weeks but the tough Aussie, even at 35 yeas old, showed he still has the heart and determination as well as the natural talent and skill to make the main event on his Boost mobile Husqvarna.
And the Aussie was understandably happy with his personal achievement as you can see in his Instagram post:
A1✔️ All things considered I'm [email protected]&$ing stoked ! Literally off the couch to top 15 in the world I'll take that😊 Prioritizing this week As an athlete you always want it all I'm the most under prepared I've ever been but my foot is all that matters right now I'm staying in Cali and hitting it hard on therapy as I need to get my full range of motion so I can be in a little less pain Than I'll work on bike and fitness That 20min +1 though 😳😤🤣 EVERYTHING hurts today and I can't wait to feel it again next weekend ✊🏽💪🏽
