Carpenter’s season comes to early end!

It’s bad news for young British talent, Jamie Carpenter as his season has came to an early end. Unfortunately, he has snapped his ACL, if that’s not bad enough he has also damaged his MCL.
Carpenter will need to undergo an operation but has to wait for his third degree burn to heal before he can go through the operation. He suffered from the third degree burn at the same time as picking up his ACL and MCL injury.
After dominating at youth level last year it was shaping up to be a big season for Carpenter racing with the pro’s in the MX2 World Championship. Unfortunately, the injuries he has sustained see him being ruled out for the rest of the season but hopefully he will come back stronger in 2018.
Jamie posted the following message on his Facebook page, “Unfortunately the 2017 season has come to a very early end for me as it’s just been confirmed that I’ve snapped my ACL and damaged my MCL. I will need surgery but I will have to wait for the third degree burn that I sustained at the same time to heal first.
I felt very happy at the last round of the MAXXIS British Championship at Lyng after qualifying 11th and felt I was in a good position to break into the top 10.
I would like to thank Mark and Sam at REVO Husqvarna, my mechanic Gary, my Dad and all of my sponsors. Time for me now to rest up, heal up and then start preparation for 2018. I feel very fortunate to have the right people around me who I know I can rely on to help me recover from this and come back even stronger.”
