Cairoli says RV underestimated MXGP!
Talking to Geoff Meyer at the leading European website MXlarge, Tony Cairoli didn’t hold back on his thoughts about RV and the US attitude to World Championship racing.
The Italian said: “It’s his choice. For sure for Americans riders and fans it is difficult. They always thought they were a step away (ahead) from everybody and now it’s some years they realise there are not only Americans in motocross.
“In the beginning he thought it was easier to come here and race and win and after getting the pace was difficult for him. Then he make some mistakes and get injured. Ok he can jump (miss) some races but he should finish the season. But different people do different stuff and I respect his career, he was one of the best in the world.”
