The Arenacross UK series hit Sheffield for the penultimate round of the series. After the drama that Belfast produced it was Cedric Soubeyras that had the red plate heading into Sheffield. He was on form early on during the night as he won both of his heat races, firing out a warning to his championship rivals. Ramette and Pellegrini won the other two heat races.

When the gate dropped for the main event it was the two Suzuki’s of Angelo Pellegrini and Cedric Soubeyras at the front of the pack. Soubeyras was applying the pressure on his team mate and then made the move for the lead on the fifth lap.

Thomas Ramette was back in fifth on the first lap but worked his way up to third, behind that was the battle of the Brits between Jack Brunell and Adam Chatfield. Brunell eventually won that battle before Chatfield slipped down to sixth after Jay Wilson found his way past the Brit.

It was a superb display from Soubeyras and he holds onto the red plate heading into the final round, that might just make him favourite for the closely contested title.

Yannis Irsuti didn’t manage to win a pro lites final at the previous two rounds in Belfast but he got back to winning ways tonight after winning the first final of the night ahead of Joe Clayton. Jason Meara was strong and crossed the line in third place ahead of Dylan Woodcock!

In the second Pro lites final it was Kawasaki’s, Dylan Woodcock who grabbed victory ahead of Meara who improved on his third from the first moto. This marks Meara’s best Arenacross event to date with a third overall. Frenchie, Irsuti crossed the line in third ahead of Clayton.
