Brent Van Doninck injury update!
Kemea Yamaha are cautiously optimistic that Brent Van Doninck will make a quicker recovery than first expected.
Van Doninck injured his hip in an international motocross race in Belgium and dislocated a portion of the bone structure. He needs a small surgery to remove a bone chip, and will be in convalescence at least six weeks to heal and recover.
According to the team the injury is serious, but it is less serious than first suspected, and the extent of Brent’s injuries are within the scope of normal recovery after this type of surgery.
This injury is very bad timing for Van Doninck just as he was showing some of the best form of his career and becoming a top contender in MX2. But at least this news allows the Belgian to find some positivity and a realistic time frame to return to racing again.
