Bradshaw signs up for AX!

Nev Bradshaw returns to Arenacross this weekend at Glasgow with MVR-D Husqvarna. The former top British MX2 runner will take the ride vacated by Kristian Whatley who parted company with the team due to irreconcilable differences.

Bradshaw’s no stranger to AX, or Husqvarna. He finished second to Adam Chatfield in the first-ever AX championship back in 2013 and then, riding for Husqvarna across several championships, in 2015 he again contested the Pro class. Whilst retired from professional racing, the 33-year-old has kept fit and continued training so the odds are that he won’t be at all shabby when he takes to the start gate at round two on Saturday. “It’s great to be back racing,” said the popular South African, “I’ve tasted AX success before and am looking forward to getting back in the saddle with MVR-D, giving them some results and having fun.”

After something of a turbulent time at the AX opener in Manchester when lead rider Whatley was a no-show, MVR-D Husqvarna team boss Mark Chamberlain said; “We’re really pleased to have Nev back on board representing the team. He’s a more than capable arenacross rider and ultra-reliable. We’ll give him the full team support and tools to go out there and do the best he can.”

The second round of the 2017 Arenacross Tour takes place this Saturday, the 14th of January at the SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow. Doors open at 6.30 with the Show getting underway at 7.30pm. Tickets are available via www.arenacrossuk.com or directly from the Arena 0800 952 0110, www.thessehydro.com
