Bøgh Damm on his tough second EMX250 round: Riding injured

Bastian Bøgh Damm was in fantastic form at the opening round of the EMX250 championship at Valkenswaard dominating the event and he’d have been looking forward to the restart. However, the young Dane crashed whilst competing at the Raceday Simulation and as a result broke his collarbone as well as being concussed. It meant the second round of the series didn’t go to plan and he failed to pick up any championship points.

The Dane posted the following message on social media.

“Just a little update. 4 weeks ago I had a injury, I broke my collarbone in a crash, and had a really big concussion as well. I tried everything the last 4 weeks to get get ready to fight for points in Latvia. So had my first ride before the race this Friday in Latvia. But actually I was just happy that I was able to ride this weekend, and didn’t even expect to ride after the injury.
But i just wanted to try and enjoy the awesome track and my @wzracing ktm bike. The injury is coming better and better every day, and we are working to get back to the same point as before. And a big thanks to all the people who have helped me through the injury and still is”.

It’s a big blow to his championship hopes and with another two rounds taking place in a week it’s going to be tough for him to be 100% fit but hopefully he’ll be in better shape at the fourth round of the series.
