Barr looking forward to racing again
Martin Barr is looking forward to finally getting to race on his 450 BRT KTM with the Northern Irishman stepping up to the big machine in 2020 after a few years back on the 250f.
With a very deep field this weekend for round one of the fastest 40 at the MX Nationals at Hawkstone Park, there will be no bedding in for the riders who will have to be on it straight away just to get a decent gate in qualifying.
“I’m really looking forward to round 1 of the Mx nationals this weekend at Hawkstone park,” said Martin who always goes well around the former GP Circuit. “The fastest 40 is looking stacked which is really good. We are all kinda in the same boat regarding race time but I can’t wait to get back behind the gate on my BRT KTM.”
With regards to the revised schedule for the MX Nationals and British championship Barr commented: “The new schedule is a funny one,it’s going to busy and a lot of travelling with most the rounds all down south of England and there being 5/6 weeks on the bounce!
“I’m a bit disappointed with having two rounds of the British championship at the same track but I do understand it isn’t easy to get tracks with local councils not agreeing with terms of events! It is what is it and I just hope it all goes ahead!”
