Anstie aiming for a return to racing at Hangtown

Max Anstie has written on social media that he is hoping to be fit for the US National opener at Hangtown on the 16th of May. It means being back for some supercross races doesn’t seem to be a realistic goal now for the injured HEP Suzuki rider.

Anstie also revealed it has been difficult to live in a different country away from friends and family, especially since he can’t ride a bike at the minute, but, on the plus side, says he is 6 weeks on from his Achilles operation and recovery is going well.

Wishing I was racing 💭 I’m nearly at 6 weeks post Achilles op – had a check up yesterday and it’s all going well 🦿 Feeling lucky to have @millyanstie by my side 👨🏻‍🦰👸🏼 ❤️ It’s not easy to have moved half way around the world without any planning, not have a “home” to call our own yet, family 🐶 🐕 and friends on the other end of the phone and it seems like endless sorting out and organising our lives. Riding my bike seems to make everything a bit easier, so it sucks that I can’t even do that 🕗
