Another surgery for Valentin Guillod!
Valentin Guillod who was set to return this weekend at the Loket MXGP has received some bad news. He is out for the next two months after the latest visit to the doctor.
Guillod posted the following update on his Facebook page:
I’m sad, angry, depressed. I’m back from the X Ray center, and my hand did get some damages.
After 5 weeks of wait and the green light from the doctor. I was back for the Swiss championship to prepare for the GP of Czech Republic, and everything looks OK.
I was feeling good, my strength was better than ever, and winning with only two day of riding was encouraging.
But the Titanium plate and the bone didn’t resist to the 30min motos.
No choices, I will get everything repaired this Thursday. Yep : another surgery and 2 months on the sideline…
My season is not great so far, and having a warmup in Loket in order to perform in Fraunfeld, Villars and Materley was the goal to finish 2017 on a good note. So i have no regrets at all.
What next ?
I will take the next 2 months to work harder than ever. Same focus, same goal, maybe harder…
I’m thinking to my family, to my team, to Honda Europe, to my sponsors, to my fans and to my future.
I will be back in Villars sous Ecot for the French GP, and hopefully at the Motocross of the Nations in Materley Basin if the federation give me this chance…
See you all in 2 months, i’m not done for sure.
