137 KTM Motorsport signs Jere Haavisto!

The 2016 season was a success for KTM 137 Motorsport. To strengthen the team, a new face enters, one of the most promising young riders in Finland, Jere Haavisto. Haavisto has signed for the 137 KTM Motorsport team to contest the EMX250 series. In addition he will also contest the full Finnish national Championship in the MX2 class.

Jere Haavisto: “The 137 Motorsport deal came just right time for me. Last season was heavy when we toured a van around Europe throughout most of the year. Now, sitting in a van is left out of the program and I am able to focus on the essentials. All around me is now a committed and skilled people, so I cannot be anymore satisfied. The aim is to ride European Championship in the top five in the points with individual podium places. Finland, in turn, I shall continue where Savaste left, that is, the aim of the Finnish national championship. I also try, if possible to ride 2-3 MX2 GP races.”

Karri Kuisma (team owner): “As my team KTM co-operation started a year ago we had a 5-year plan and the original goal was to go to the EMX250 series during 2018. We decided to bring forward the EMX project, the cooperation with such a talented young man realised.”
