If anyone can get amongst the anticipated Roczen, Tomac and Musquin battle for the title it might just be Cooper Webb.
The confident fighter and 250 supercross and motocross champ not only knows how to win but isn’t satisfied until he is winning.
2017 didn’t go as planned, injuries, inconsistency and a bike he didn’t enjoy have fuelled the fire in 2018 for Webb who was the hot prospect coming in last season.
And Webb admits he’s ready to prove the doubters wrong in 2018: “There is a new motivation in me to want to really do well and humble some people up.” said Webb with fire in his eyes at the A1 press conference.
He also admitted he made mistakes but hopes he has learnt from them and that he loves the 2018 450 Yamaha: “I’ve hopefully learned from my mistakes last year and do good this year. I feel like the 2018 450 suits my style a lot better. I’m excited to line up and see where we stand.”
Webb, once he feels good, I believe has the stuff to run with the elite guys on a regular basis, it might be a stretch for him to win the title this year but wins are not out of the question and one thing is for sure, he won’t be intimated by the big three and won’t think twice of making an aggressive move!
He was supposed to be the next superstar of the sport in the USA, and 2018 might be the year he re-establishes himself as the next big thing in 450 supercross.
