Weltin leaves F&H Racing Team

Marshal Weltin was all set to stay in the GP paddock for the 2019 season after agreeing a deal to stay with the F&H Racing team.

However, due to Youthstream putting an age rule in the EMX250 class it means the American is now too old to compete in the class as well as the MX2 World Championship.

It means that Weltin will leave the F&H Racing team and has also confirmed he’ll be leaving the GP paddock which is a shame. It looks like his plans will be to race back home in America again but we will have to wait for official confirmation of his future plans.

Weltin posted the following message on social media:

“Well.. I’m pretty bummed to publicly announce this. But with the recent age rule change in the EMX250 class… I will no longer be able to stay with the @fhracingteam. With that being said I do not have an opportunity to race in Europe next year. The @fhracingteam was so awesome to me this year and I just want to thank them again for the opportunity! I’m glad we can part ways on good terms. The situation is out of my hands and the teams hands with Youthstreams decision to make a last minute rule change.
Stay tuned for more to come with my plans for 2019″!
