Watson and Vimond: Not working together full time in 2020

Since signing with the Kemea Yamaha team, Ben Watson has been working with Jacky Vimond who has a very good track record of improving riders in the paddock.

Last year, Watson finished fourth in the MX2 World Championship and Vimond was clearly able to help him show the world his potential.

For the 2020 season, Watson has revealed that he’ll not be working full time with the French ex GP rider but it sounds like Vimond will still be there to support him.

The Brit stated there’s “multiple reasons we just won’t work together at the Grand Prix’s now”.

“I want to say a massive thank you to this man here. Monsieur Vimond… along with the whole @kemea_yamaha @yamaharacingcomofficial crew, he was a huge part of bringing me to where I am right now. During one winter we went from 15th in the world to celebrating 4th in the 2018 world championship together. We stood up on the podium twice and got an mxon bronze medal too. 2020 we wont work together full time, but I know for a fact if I needed some support you will be the first person there at my side… thanks for everything. roll on the new season”.
