Video: Tim Gajser’s journey on becoming World Champion

From the depths of tragedy, through the travails of hardship and setbacks, emerged from Slovenia a young man with a visceral drive to reach the top in motocross racing. Tim Gajser’s pleasant exterior hides a steely resolve and an intense drive to succeed.

From humble beginnings, he built his craft, step by step. His dedication never wavered. Year by year, he got better, and the successes came:

2007 – 65cc European Champion
2009- 85cc European Champion
2012 – 125cc European Champion
2012 – 125cc World Champion
2015 – MX2 World Champion
2016 – MXGP World champion (the youngest ever)

All of this before he was 20 years old and then another MXGP title to add to that in 2019.

Despite these remarkable successes, Tim remains endearingly humble, polite and gracious. He has already cemented his status as one of the world’s top motocross talents ever, and with his punishing work ethic, there is every chance that he can go on to become one of the world’s all-time greats.
