The 2017 version of the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, was held at the picturesque track at Matterley Basin, England, and of course Team Denmark was on the scene to wreak havoc! A little bad luck, a lot of fun and an even bigger amount heart, resulted in a spot as number 11, even with one rider down with injury. This is a little peek at their journey in living pictures.
Thomas Kjer Olsen was once again right at the top, continuing his monumental season, with two top 10 finishes on his 250, and earning 3rd of all MX2-riders! His big brother Stefan also did well, and brought home two top 20 finishes, giving a few GP regulars a run for their money. Team captain, Nikolaj Larsen crashed in his qualifier, injuring his back and ribs, but even so, he managed to ride the first three corners of the first moto, scoring his team a 39th instead of a DNS. Remarkable, as he could barely walk to his bike for the start. That was enough for 11th. The team had hopes for more, but in the amount of heart, they were right at the top.
