Video: Stewart v McGrath – when eras collided!

It was literally the collision of two eras when the king of supercross Jeremy McGrath, got involved in a bit of bar-banging with the latest superstar of the sport, James Stewart.

McGrath, by this time in his mid-30s, was riding a part-time schedule in 2006 while Stewart was in his prime and known at the time in supercross as the “fastest man on the planet.”

But when Stewart took McGrath out in a typically over ambitious and impatient move, McGrath didn’t forget and blew Stewart straight off the track at the first turn one round later!

Stewart started it but McGrath was the man that ended it, and while it was Stewart who claimed he wanted to break McGrath’s records, it is Jeremy that had the last laugh in that duel as well, the king still has the most wins (72) and most titles (7) in the sport’s history!
