500cc world champ Andre Malherbe won the individual class overall from George Jobe and Hakan Carlqvist, but the riding styles were vastly different as America had a more aggressive and elbows up riding style from supercross.
Of course with the leading Europeans all from different countries, it allowed the fast and consistent Americans able to take advantage of their very deep talent pool to win overall.
