Video interview: Jeffrey Herlings – Vital MX rider of the year!

For the first time in years it seems a GP rider has truly won the respect of America.

The Dutchman dominated the world championship in 2018 and perhaps crucially the US fans and media also saw Jeffrey win his class three times in just over 12 months on US soil, with the US National, US GP and MXoN at Red Bud.

Seeing is believing and Jeffrey Herlings deservedly won the Racer X and Cycle News rider of the year and has just been voted Vital MX rider of the year by the fans which VitalMX’s GuyB even admits took him by surprise, making it three influential US outlets all giving their respect to the world champ’s achievement and speed.

It’s a sign of the growing respect of the world championship in the states and hopefully the US media attention will continue to grow.

GuyB caught up with a happy Jeffrey Herlings to talk about his season and winning such an award from an American-based fan website.
