The 1999 Anaheim supercross May have been the deepest field in supercross history.

With the three factory bikes for the Japanese teams, money was not a problem and virtually all the riders in the main were factory stars so just qualifying for a privateer was an epic achievement!

See the race below that featured a heavily invested Honda team with Kevin Windham, Michael Pichon and 1998 world champ Seb Tortelli all signed that year to join Ezra Lusk to take on reigning champ McGrath at Yamaha with the blue squad also having Jimmy Button and John Dowd

Kawasaki had the aforementioned Carmichael as well as 97 champ Emig and Damon Huffman with Suzuki sticking with Greg Albertyn alongside the very talented Robbie Reynard in his rookie 250 year plus the proven Larry Ward.
