VHR KTM team boss on Tixier split

VHR KTM team boss on Tixier split

It was announced at the beginning of the week that Jordi Tixier and the VHR KTM team have parted company and both gone their separate ways. With the start of the MXGP World Championship just a few weeks away it leaves the former MX2 World Champion without a ride for the season.

Bruno Verhaeghe has give his reasons for the split speaking to French site, DailyMotocross.fr.

We encountered a disagreement in terms of organisation with Jordi Tixier. Jordi wanted to manage everything at his house in 2020, with his father, because they did not have trust in us. Obviously, I did not accept that. I’ve never seen a team let it’s rider take care of the management of his race bikes. I think that all years end in the same way for Jordi because he does not trust people and remains convinced to do everything better than everyone else and it is a shame. I think the best thing would be for him to only work with his father so they won’t run into problems with the organisation.

At VHR, we are still going with our program that includes Europe 250, Europe 125 and the Women’s World Championship, almost all the GP’s except for the overseas ones, of course, in addition to our national championships. At the moment, I’m looking to – maybe – recruit another rider, but for the moment, nothing is certain.
