Top Belgian, Brent Van Doninck, has signed to ride MX1 class for ASA United Husqvarna in 2020. Van Doninck will race in his rookie 450 season for the team on board a Husqvarna FC450.
The Belgian has had several successful seasons in MX2 World Championships, with multiple podiums to his name and a seasons best finish of 10th in the 2017 World MX2 standings. Van Doninck will compete in the ACU British Series, MX Nationals British Championship and selected GP’s for the Husqvarna Motorcycles UK Team.
Lee Tolan, Team Owner – “We were looking for a podium contender for MX1 to showcase the awesome Husqvarna FC450 and in Brent we have found one. His CV at world level is incredible and I was so happy to sign him. It’s a great result for our team and sponsors”
Van Doninck – “I had to move to 450 this year because of the age limit but I am more than ready. I’m quite a big guy for a 250 and have been training with a 450, so feel the big bike suits me more. It will be an exciting challenge to compete in the UK with ASA United Husqvarna, as there’s a lot of talent in both series already. I’m also looking forward to showing myself in MXGP as I think I have good speed. Thank you to Lee Tolan for giving me this opportunity”
