Young Dutch rider, Boyd Van der Voorn has decided to make the step from the 125cc to the 250cc for the year ahead.

On the 125cc, van der Voorn has mostly been a privateer but for the 2019 season, he’s signed a deal with the Husqvarna SKS Racing which is a great opportunity for him.

Van der Voorn will race the Dutch Masters of Motocross as well as the KNMV Dutch Championship and may also race some rounds of the EMX250 championship towards the end of the season.

“SKS already supported me in 2017 and then wanted me on their team on a 250. Our relationship was always nice with them so that makes it a lot easier. I still have to wait before I can prepare myself for next year because of my injury so that will be difficult at the beginning of the season with not much bike time on the 250cc. I will work hard for it to improve my riding and get better results throughout the year. I will race the KNMV Dutch Championship, Dutch Masters of Motocross and maybe some EMX250 races later in the year”. Van der Voorn commented on the move.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors and people for the last 2 years from which I learned a lot from. I’m really thankful for some great changes I’ve got. I would like to thank all the sponsors of this team and all my private sponsors for the many great years we’ve already had together”.
