F&H Kawasaki rider, Roan Van de Moosdijk has secured a wildcard entry for the MX2 World Championship taking place in Agueda, Portugal this weekend.

The Dutch talent is focusing on the EMX250 series this year were he currently sits fourth in the standings but with that series taking a break he’s decided to give MX2 a go.

Van de Moosdijk has already agreed a deal with the team to make the permanent switch to the MX2 World Championship in 2020 as Henry Jacobi and Adam Sterry will both age out of the class next year due to the u23 age rule.

The team have also confirmed that Van de Moosdijk will race a few more rounds of the MX2 World Championship later in the season to help him prepare for 2020.

“I’m racing MX2 in Portugal just to keep the flow of racing because there is such a long break in the EMX series. I don’t have any expectations, just to have fun and get a bit used for next year. I’d like thank the team for giving me this opportunity”, the Dutch talent commented.
